About ClientSide
The core idea: Every tool on this site runs entirely inside your browser. Your files are never sent to a server — not ours, not anyone's. That's not a policy. It's how the code works.
What is ClientSide?
ClientSide is a free suite of privacy-first file tools. It lets you remove hidden metadata from photos, PDFs, and videos; edit and reorder PDF pages; and crop, resize, compress, and adjust images — all without uploading anything anywhere.
When you drop a file onto ClientSide, your browser loads it directly from your disk into local memory (RAM). JavaScript then processes the file in that same tab and writes the result straight to your Downloads folder. No file data crosses the network at any point.
Why build it this way?
Most "free" online tools upload your files to a server. That means a company receives copies of your photos, documents, and videos — often retaining them for model training, analytics, or indefinite storage. The privacy policies rarely make this obvious.
Client-side processing eliminates that risk entirely. There is no upload endpoint. A photo processed on ClientSide cannot be intercepted or stored by a third party, because it is never transmitted.
What tools are available?
- Metadata Removal — Strip GPS coordinates, author names, device identifiers, and timestamps from JPEG, PNG, WebP, PDF, and video files (MP4, MOV, M4V).
- PDF Tools — Merge multiple PDFs into one, reorder or delete pages, rotate pages, and convert images to PDF.
- Image Tools — Crop, rotate, flip, resize, adjust brightness and colour, apply filters (B&W, sepia, vivid), blur, and sharpen. Export as JPEG, PNG, or WebP. HEIC supported.
